Notes About the Artist
I am a retired teacher, a mother, a wife, a Christian, and a gypsy. My mother instilled in me at a very early age that I can do anything I want to do, and as a result I've done many things that other people only dream of doing.
One thing that I always wanted to do, but allowed myself to think I couldn't, was to paint. As I neared retirement, I convinced myself that now that I would have the time, surely I could learn to paint. With the encouragement of several friends, I discovered the Bob Ross method of instruction, and I was hooked. Though many artists would say that this type of painting is not art, it was what I needed to get my feet wet. I've gone on to learn more detailed techniques and particularly enjoy doing florals and wildlife, but without those early landscape classes, I never would have known that I could do this.
I continue learning with every painting and especially enjoy putting new experiences to canvas when my husband and I hit the road in our RV. I paint not to sell paintings, but to release the energy from within that has been contained for so many years. My hope is that you will see that energy and enjoy it also.
